Roman Reigns: I Didn't Like WWE Hell In A Cell Finish, But I Wasn't Going To Cuss Them Out

Roman Reigns wants fans to show some respect.

Fans were left angry and disappointed with the finish to WWE Hell in a Cell, which saw the Hell in a Cell bout between Seth Rollins and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt end in a "match stoppage" with the referee calling for the bell, determining Wyatt could not continue after taking a sledgehammer shot to the head. Fans in the arena chanted "AEW" and "refund" as the show went off the air.

Speaking to Forbes, Roman Reigns weighed in on the finish and the fan response.

“I think you should express your opinions, but it doesn’t hurt anybody if you have a shred of respect,” Reigns said. “Have a little respect for the performers who were out there killing themselves for you. I didn’t like the Hell in a Cell finish either, but I wasn’t about to cuss some guys out who got hit in the head over and over. Bray Wyatt put his health on the line to entertain some fans to the best of his ability. I didn’t like it, but I respect Bray’s effort and willingness to go out there and do what you have to do. So, if you can, just a little bit of respect.”

WWE stayed away from mentioning the Hell in a Cell finish the following night on Raw, keeping Rollins and Wyatt off television. On the Oct. 14 episode of Raw, Wyatt and Rollins competed in a dark match, which was boo'd by the fans.

Wyatt and Rollins will rematch at WWE Crown Jewel in a Falls Count Anywhere bout.
