Roman Reigns says he and the other former Shield members banded together for one cause.
In 2012, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins came to WWE from NXT as The Shield. The three young men had one of the biggest impacts on wrestling in years. In a recent interview with NOLA.com, Roman Reigns said he, Ambrose, and Rollins had a particular goal when they came to WWE.
"We banded together and did our thing. We kept the mindset that we're going to leave this place better than we found it. If you have that mentality and you have the work ethic that all three of us have, it's very achievable," said Reigns.
As a life long athlete, Reigns said he is used to performing and being part of a team.
"I've always had that camaraderie with athletes, always playing sports. When you're around high-level athletes, it puts you in that mindset - how to be a teammate, teamwork, looking out for each other. That's always been a natural hat that I've worn. It was just neat to see it happen," said Reigns.
At Wrestlemania 34, Reigns will be challenging for Brock Lesnar's WWE Universal Championship and his ex-teammate Seth Rollins will be in a triple threat with Finn Balor and champion The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. But, Dean Ambrose has been out with an injury. Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for Wrestlemania.
