Roxanne Perez recalls a big Royal Rumble moment.
Perez was able to make history during the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble match, as she lasted one hour and seven minutes and set the record for the longest amount of time in a women's rumble match.
During the bout, Perez also got to face off with Nikki Bella, a moment that was a number of years in the making. On the latest episode of the No Contest podcast, TJ Jefferson and O'Shea Jackson Jr. brought up an old video of a young Perez meeting Nikki Bella outside of the venue.
Perez then recalled the video and the Royal Rumble spot, saying that it was an insane moment for her.
“So many feels. In that video that you’re talking about, I remember Nikki Bella saying, ‘Well, in five years, I’m gonna need a tag partner.’ I said, ‘Well, I’d rather wrestle you.’ So, ten years later, I’m in the ring with Nikki Bella and almost slapped her. I got the taste slapped out of my mouth, but regardless, to have that moment with her was insane. There’s just so many moments that keep happening where I’m like, wait, is this real? It’s everything that I ever dreamt of as a kid and if I could go back and tell my younger self that all of this is happening, she would freak out.”
