History was made on the June 7 episode of NXT 2.0.
During tonight’s broadcast, Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton faced off in the finals of the first-ever Women’s Breakout Tournament. Not only would the winner have their name etched in WWE’s history books, but they’d also receive a championship opportunity of their choosing.
Perez’s road to the finals saw her defeat Kiana James in round one and then Lash Legend in the semi-finals. Stratton, on the other hand, was not originally in the tournament. She stepped in during the semi-final round as a replacement for the injured Nikkita Lyons after goading Fallon Henley into a match.
Perez and Stratton had a hard-fought encounter, but it was Roxanne who emerged victoriously after hitting Pop Rox. She celebrated after the match with Cora Jade, but they were confronted and attacked by Toxic Attraction. Indi Hartwell would come to their aid and help send Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne packing.
