It's been almost a month since we've seen Rusev on WWE television as "The Bulgarian Brute" has not wrestled on Raw since Feb. 17. He was scheduled for the Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet match at WWE Super ShowDown, but replaced the week of the event.
Speaking to The Pop Break, Rusev was asked what his current goals are in WWE.
"My goal is to get on TV because I haven't been on TV for a while. I'm waiting for my next opportunity. I can't wait to crush. Whatever they tell me, I'm ready for it," he said.
It is unknown when Rusev will return to television. It was previously reported that Rusev was being kept off television due to a contract dispute.
Elsewhere in the interview, Rusev was asked about how his role has changed as he's moved from heel to babyface over the years. He answered, "No changes for me, I'm just being me. I feel like people just appreciate all my hard work and the commitment that I've had with every single character or storyline, whether good, bad, or some badly written stuff. I'm always committed, 1000%. So is [Lana]. Fans can see that and appreciate that. That's why my popularity grew."
Rusev was involved in an angle with Lana and Bobby Lashley, where he and Lana got "divorced" on television and she "married" Lashley before his television hiatus.
