Rusev ready to step in the ring with Tyson Fury.
Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury made his WWE debut at Crown Jewel, defeating Braun Strowman by count out. Fury's performance received mixed reviews at best, though Fury revealed Vince McMahon was happy with his outing. Speaking to The Sun, Rusev revealed he too was a fan of Fury in the ring and behind the scenes.
"I love chatting with Tyson, just his life story is so inspiring. I watch boxing as well so just to be able to see his journey, and now he's spreading the word about God, he's just amazing and we had a great chat backstage about it, we had a great time, he's a great dude. He did great in his match. He took it seriously, he prepared, he went to the performance centre and actually got ready, so he didn't just phone it in because he's going to make 'X' amount of dollars. He wanted to do good and this is very applaudable," he said.
Fury has heavily hinted at doing another match at WrestleMania 36, revealing Brock Lesnar to be his top target. But if Rusev has his choice, he would be the one stepping into the ring against Fury.
"I'm ready to fight anybody at any time, but a man like Tyson, he's gonna draw a lot of eyes so I'm always down for that. Even if it's a boxing match, I'll box him too."
Rusev also stated he would be rooting for Fury in his upcoming bout against Deontay Wilder and that he believes Fury should have won the first fight, which ended in a split draw.
