Sami Zayn wants to step up his relief effort in Syria.
Last year, Sami Zayn worked with the Syrian American Medical Society to provide a mobile medical clinic to help refugees who have fled their homes due to violence in Syria. In a recent video, Zayn said the clinic has provided around 8,000 services. Then, he announced the launching of a new campaign which will ramp up the relief effort.
"The situation is complex and it's ever changing. But as we speak right now, thousands upon thousands of people are still stranded in the dessert with nothing," said Zayn. "Hopefully this fundraising campaign will help raise some money to fund to not only the existing mobile clinic but multiple mobile clinics," he continued.
Funding would also go to providing refugees with food, water, and other essentials. As of this time, the new campaign has earned nearly $3,000 of the $50,000 goal with donations from 98 sources.
