Sami Zayn and Bobby Lashley will meet in a singles match for the first time.
After last week's antics with three male actors playing Bobby Lashley's "sisters" in a segment, Sami Zayn came to the ring to apologize for his actions. He quickly went on a tangent about how it was not his fault and he deserves to be in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Bobby Lashley came out to confront and challenge Zayn to a match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view which Zayn accepted.
Since coming back to WWE, Lashley has faced Zayn in a few tag team matches where Zayn teamed with Kevin Owens who beat Lashley in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Zayn also lost a qualifying match a few weeks ago.
