Samoa Joe References Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Swerve Strickland Signs Contract In Blood On 4/3 AEW Dynamite

Samoa Joe went there.

On the April 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW World Champion Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland came to the ring to sign the contract for their match at AEW Dynasty. Joe warned Swerve that he was facing doom. Hoping to get through to Swerve, Joe cited "Diddy" by saying that he would beat Swerve down so badly that it was going to leave him "mentally scarred like you left Diddy's party too late."

Tensions continued to rise, as Strickland said that AEW was building a dynasty, he had the keys, and he would make it his house. They brawled, and Joe pummeled Strickland with his fist, which he wrapped in a steel chain. The blows busted Swerve open, but he laughed it off and signed the contract in blood. He told Joe that if that was all that he had, he would be taking his title.

Infuriated, Joe came back to the ring and slammed Strickland through a table.

Joe's "Diddy" reference sparked plenty of buzz, as Sean "Diddy" Combs is being federally investigated, and he is also facing lawsuits that accuse him of assault, abuse, or trafficking. Combs has denied the allegations.
