Samoa Joe Thinks Vince McMahon Perceives NXT As The Future Of The Company And Is Heavily Invested

WWE President Nick Khan has confirmed that there will be a revamp coming to NXT as the brand changes its production and has a different talent focus.

While some might be worried that NXT will no longer be what they have come accustomed to as an alternative to Raw and SmackDown, Samoa Joe has faith that things will be just fine for the gold brand as far as the future goes.

Adam Pearce Says WWE Raw Will Honor The New Day’s 10-Year Anniversary With A Special Episode

"I think [Vince McMahon] perceives [NXT] as the future of his company," Joe told So Catch. "I think he's heavily invested in it. It's funny, I read all this stuff that I hear from people and then, at the same time, he's probably the biggest proponent of its existence and much of what has happened thus far. NXT is the future of WWE and it's a big reason why I'm excited to be associated with it because I get to delve into the future and I get to work on new things and new projects and introducing new stars to the world and that's something that, at this point in my career, I'm very excited to do."

Joe is not only the reigning NXT Champion following NXT TakeOver 36, he also works in the scouting department for the brand.

Fightful will have live coverage of NXT beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
