Former ECW Champion The Sandman made a surprise appearance at ROH Final Battle on Friday night. The Sandman showed up to help Flip Gordon defeat his rival Bully Ray in an I Quit match.
Sandman entered to prevent Silas Young from lighting a table on fire, which Bully Ray had planned to put Gordon through. Sandman wiped out Young before standing in front of Ray, spitting beer at him and ducking a cane shot. Gordon took advantage of the distraction, caning Ray with two kendo sticks and forcing him to quit.

This isn't the first surprise appearance by the Sandman in ROH this year. He showed up at the October television tapings in Philadelphia and faced Silas Young in a Pick Your Punishment match.
