Santos Escobar finished the story.
Santos Escobar began a new chapter of his story when he turned on Rey Mysterio in November. Since then, he has established Legado del Fantasma as a formidable group on WWE SmackDown. The WWE Hall of Famer returned on the March 1 episode of WWE SmackDown, determined to get revenge. He helped Carlito defeat Escobar in a Street Fight, and their rivalry has continued to heat up.
Mysterio and Escobar clashed on the March 22 episode of SmackDown, and Escobar scored the victory, thanks to some help from Dominik Mysterio.
Escobar then took to Twitter/X to comment on his win, as he said that he finished his story. He also called himself The Emperor as he stated that the "king" was dead.

Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes remains determined to finish his story. Time will tell whether he will be able to do so when he faces Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
