Santos Escobar Medical Update, Solo Sikoa Trashes Robert Stone, Chase U Goes Abroad | NXT Fight Size

Here is your post-NXT 2.0 fight size update for July 11.

- One of NXT 2.0’s top stars is currently sidelined. After Tony D’Angelo previously hinted that he put Santos Escobar in the hospital, Vic Joseph offered an update on Tuesday. He stated that the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion is at home, where he’s rehabbing his injury.

- Von Wagner fought with Solo Sikoa for a solid chunk of the show. They clashed in a singles match, and it ended in a double countout when they kept brawling at ringside. The duo fought all the way to the parking lot, where Wagner got the upper hand. But Sikoa scored the last laugh by throwing Robert Stone into a dumpster.

- Chase University escaped the confines of the Capitol Wrestling Center by taking a field trip to London. Andre Chase showed Thea Hail and Bodhi Hayward the sights and even said that he’s going to be knighted. Chase then went on a tirade on an unlucky student who wrote that Chase U was the seventh-ranked school.

- Bodhi Hayward and Thea Hail got to take a fun trip, but Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro had a tough assignment. They were given one last chance to prove their loyalty to Tony D’Angelo, and they seemingly satisfied him by attacking Malik Blake and Edris Enofe after Tony and “Stacks” defeated them in a tag team bout.

- Whereas Chase U ventured away from the Capitol Wrestling Center, a newcomer is coming next week. A vignette on Tuesday night offered more information about Axiom; this time, the mystery man described his love of comic books and the way they allow him to transcend reality. The clip confirmed that he’ll debut next week.

- Next week is already shaping up to be a big show. After Pretty Deadly confronted Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs at a bar, Fallon Henley delayed a fight by telling the teams to wait until they face off next Tuesday.

- Pretty Deadly will have to wait for their attempt at the titles, but Sanga quickly got his hands on Duke Hudson, who confronted the big man after their confrontation in the pool at Great American Bash. Sanga proceeded to pick up a dominant victory over Hudson.

- Indi Hartwell also picked up a win on Tuesday, but not without some help. She battled Lash Legend, who vowed to treat her like a basketball in a pre-match promo. Alba Fyre distracted Legend during the bout, and Hartwell capitalized by reversing a pin attempt and getting the three count for herself. Fyre tried to attack Legend with her bat, but the latter escaped.

- NXT 2.0 kicked off with a hard-fought bought between two of the brand’s best athletes, as Giovanni Vinci battled Apollo Crews. The contest didn’t clearly determine the superior athlete of the two, as some late interference from Xyon Quinn helped Vinci score the win.

- The Diamond Mine continued to implode on Tuesday. After Damon Kemp studied tape with the Creed Brothers, Strong told the young star that he cost him the tag titles. He then vowed to embarrass Kemp in a singles match next week.x

- Strong wasn’t the only one who pointed fingers during the show. In a backstage interview, Grayson Waller blamed Wes Lee for his loss to North American Champion Carmelo Hayes last week.

- Speaking of Hayes, he was on cloud nine after his successful defense. Likewise, Trick Williams was elated after his own win over Wes Lee last week. They celebrated their triumphs with some ladies by going dancing and taking them to their penthouse.

- Hayes and Williams have established themselves as a winning duo, and NXT 2.0 might have another promising pair. Ivy Nile came to ringside to coach Tatum Paxley during her match with Kayden Carter. The advice paid off, and Paxley won the bout with an inside cradle.

- Another prominent alliance on NXT 2.0 is that of Joe Gacy and The Dyad. On Tuesday, Gacy revealed that his masked allies are finally to unmask themselves as part of a purification ceremony next week.

- Fresh off his loss to NXT Champion Bron Breakker, Cameron Grimes was left searching for answers. He stated that he might be destined to be a loser. JD McDonagh interrupted and told Grimes that, the moment he arrived on the scene, Grimes became old news. He then took a cheap shot, and Grimes got the better of him during a brief brawl.

- Another QR code appeared on the screen during this week's show. This time, it led to a Wordle-like scramble that offered a few clues.

- Like some of her peers, Tiffany Stratton celebrated her win at NXT Great American Bash. She got her nails done and told the stylist that Wendy Choo was obsessed with her. She then briefly complained about the service and left.

- In a digital exclusive, Giovanni Vinci discussed his victory and noted that he didn't mind Quinn's interference because he still won in style.

- Tatum Paxley was ecstatic after her triumph, but in a digital exclusive, Ivy Nile brought her back down to earth and told her to act like she'd won before.

- In another digital exclusive, Lash Legend was fired up because Alba Fyre was responsible for her loss. She made it clear that she intends to get revenge by saying that nobody disrespects Lash Legend.
