Saraya comments on a potential match with Mercedes Mone.
Saraya was in the ring with Mercedes Mone when she suffered an injury that forced her to retire for several years. Both women are currently on the AEW roster. Mercedes Mone is the reigning TBS Champion, and Saraya is a former AEW Women's World Champion.
With a built-in story for a potential match between the two, Saraya was asked if that were something she would be interested in during an interview with Justin Dhillon on Casual Conversations with The Classic. Saraya says there was a time when they both wanted the match, but now, she's unsure if she will be around to have the match with Mercedes.
"I don't know. I mean, we both wanted to, so we were just waiting for that trigger to be pulled. But I think she has other people that she has to wrestle for right now, so I don't know when that time would be. Unfortunately, I may not be there to be able to do that with her," she said. "It should have happened a while ago, but it is what it is. We wanted it, but it hasn't been the right time, I guess."
