Dixie Carter helped fund TNA Wrestling from 2002 to 2017 and eventually became part of the show as an on-screen character.
With Carter's backing, TNA Wrestling was able to land a deal on Spike TV and sign big name free agents. While many fans and wrestlers have formed an opinion on Carter over the years, Scott D'Amore found her impressive in some big picture aspects.
"I don't think Dixie was an unintelligent person. I don't think she is. Dixie, one of her gifts is that she can be very engaging and very likable. If you watched her with some of the Viacom people and people we were doing business with, she was in marketing, and when she would jump in and do that stuff, 'This is a real star.' I watched her wow the Spike executives and she had them all eating out of the palm of her hands. She was good with fans," he said on K100.
Carter has attended various wrestling events over the years, but hasn't been involved in the business.
D'Amore is gearing up for the relaunch of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling in October. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
