The Miz will not be beating Pedro Morales' record yet.
In a triple threat match at WrestleMania 34, Seth Rollins came out with the WWE Intercontinental Champion by defeating The Miz and Finn Balor. Rollins has already been United States Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, and Raw Tag Team Champion and the Intercontinental Championship completes his Grand Slam.
The following is an excerpt from the Fightful Wrestling live coverage for WrestleMania 34 provided by David Tees.
Rollins returns and he nails Miz with a buckle bomb, Rollins then hits Balor with a superplex before getting rolled up for a near fall. Miz catches Rollins with a Skull Crushing Finale for a near fall, Miz goes for another Skull Crushing Finale and Balor catches him with a roll up for a near fall. Balor then drops Miz with an enzaguri before going to the top rope, Miz recovers and he crotches Balor on the top rope. Miz follows Balor up to the top rope and Balor nails him with a few strikes, Rollins then hits Balor with an enzaguri. Miz then hits Rollins with a top rope Skull Crushing Finale, Balor nails Miz with a Cupe De Grace to break up a pin attempt. Balor then hits Miz with a Sling Blade and shotgun drop kick, Balor hits Miz with a Cupe De Grace.
Rollins comes out of nowhere to nail Balor with a curb, Rollins catches Miz with a curb stomp for the three count.
Winner: Seth Rollins, your new WWE Intercontinental Champion
The Miz was twenty days away from breaking Pedro Morales' combined days as champion record. Before the match, The Miz sent the Miztourage backstage and went to the match alone.
