Shavkat Rakhmonov says Ian Garry was the only welterweight to back up his words ahead of their UFC 310 bout.
On November 15th, Dana White announced several future UFC bouts, including fights in the welterweight division. At UFC 310, Shavkat Rakhmonov will fight Ian Garry in a battle of undefeated contenders at 170 pounds in a 5 round co-main event.
In a social media post reacting to the announcement, Shavkat said Garry was the only top welterweight to back up his words and that he was disappointed in the division.
I’m very disappointed in our division. Belal, Leon, Colby, Kamaru, Jack, Sean - you’ve all let fans down. The only one who backed up his words is Ian, and I respect that. But make no mistake, @iangarryMMA - I’m coming for your 0 and will fight for the belt after https://t.co/eE3Ps8aCoj
