Shawn Michaels sees big things in Bron Breakker's future.
Bron Breakker was one of the faces of the NXT 2.0 era, and he won the NXT Championship twice. After competing in the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble, he moved up to the main roster. After initially splitting duty between NXT and SmackDown, he fully joined WWE Raw following the WWE Draft. Breakker has become a breakout star since then, and he will challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam.
Speaking with Chris Vannini for The Athletic, Shawn Michaels spoke highly of Breakker. Michaels, who worked closely with Breakker in NXT, stated that he had all the tools to have a run as a major player.
“He has all the tools to have a run like Goldberg or Steve Austin or Roman Reigns. He’s as gifted as they come. The thing that impressed me most about him was his ability to be coached,” Michaels said. “He trusted me. He trusted our process here. When you have special athletes, sometimes they think they understand or know the system because they’ve been great at everything else. He never came across that way," Michaels said.
Michaels went on to praise Breakker even more by saying that he was already better than his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, and fellow Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, his uncle.
“I think the world of both Scotty and Rick, but he’s better than both of them already, and I mean that in the nicest way. He could maul a human being with his hands, but he chooses to allow the rest of us to live in this world," Michaels said.
