Shawn Spears returns as J.J. Dillon and Tully Blanchard head back to the future.
Going into the Crossroads episode of AEW Dynamite it was known that Tully Blanchard would be competing for the first time in decades on a global stage. What was not known, however, was who Tully Blanchard would be bringing with him to ensure the victory.
It was a blast from the past on the March 3 episode of AEW Dynamite as Tully Blanchard brought with him not only his classic ring robe and the silver NWA National Heavyweight Championship belt, but the NWA Tag Championships for FTR, and his old manager, James J. Dillon, as well.
This match would see a lot of the old-school Horsemen tactics including J.J. giving his shoe to Dax Harwood and Tully Blanchard hitting his signature Slingshot Suplex. When all of this failed, Tully Blanchard had another ace up his sleeve.
Shawn Spears, sporting new blond hair, returned to AEW to help his manager score a pinfall over Luchasaurus. After the match, things would get even more intriguing.
Spears, Wheeler, Dillon, Harwood, and Blanchard were celebrating in the ring, when Arn Anderson, another legendary member of the Four Horsemen, appeared ringside and flashed the hand symbol of the Four Horsemen to J.J. and Tully.

Spears was last seen saying that he would be leaving AEW because he wasn't enjoying the way he was being treated by the promotion.
As for the potential of another four horsemen faction, the trademark is currently owned by Toot Toot, LLC, which is owned by Conrad Thompson.
