Two matches have been made official for the WWE Royal Rumble.
First, Sheamus vs. Shorty G will compete in a singles bout at the event. Sheamus returned to WWE SmackDown on Jan. 3, laying out Shorty G with the Brogue Kick. On Tuesday's episode, Shorty G and Sheamus got into a backstage brawl. The Royal Rumble match became official later in the night.

Also made official for WWE Royal Rumble is a SmackDown Women's Championship bout between Bayley against Lacey Evans. Evans picked up a non-title victory over Bayley on Tuesday's SmackDown.

Finally, a strap match stipulation has been added to the Universal Title bout between Daniel Bryan and 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt. Bryan issued the strap match challenge to Wyatt on SmackDown and the match was made official later in the night.
