Shelly Martinez Says She Was Almost Raped On An Overseas Tour

Shelly Martinez has opened up about an attempted rape that took place during her career.

It started when Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin mentioned a story Vince Russo brought up during one of his podcasts. Russo said that during his time in WWE, a female wrestler came up to him and said one of the male wrestlers had raped her:

Shelly Martinez, best known as Ariel in WWE's revived ECW brand and Salinas in Impact Wrestling, replied to Satin's post, saying that she was almost raped while on a overseas tour, and also that other people have shared with her that they were raped:

It isn't known if she is referring to an overseas tour during her WWE/ECW run, Impact or just an overseas tour she was on as an independent wrestler. She hasn't commented further on the story since posting.

She was a part of WWE from 2005-2007, then joined Impact Wrestling from 2007-2008. She retired earlier this year.
