Sid Addresses The Softball Stories From Over The Years

There's always been those stories about Sid Vicious missing pro wrestling dates because of his love of softball. But where did that all come from?

In an interview with Hannibal TV, which you can listen to above, Sid clears up these rumors about his unrivaled loved for softball. It stems from his days in WCW as he got surgery to fix issues with his lungs. He lost a lot of weight, and when he came back was told to go back home and gain more weight.

"I'm working out eating 15 times a day, working out 2-3 times a day, so during my time off I played a little softball" he said.

Sid assumed that it was Jerry Lawler, who also played a lot of softball, ended up telling WCW, who then called him, not too happy at what he was doing while taking time off.

"Jerry Lawler, he played a lot of softball and saw me out there all the time and all of a sudden the office calls me and goes 'what the f*** are you doing playing softball'?

He says that Ole Anderson, who was the booker at the time, ordered him to lose to Lex Luger in five seconds over the controversy. He also mentioned a time where he played softball in between his WWE run in 1997 and his WCW run in 1999.

"I played home on my days off, but it never affected the business" Sid said.

Today, Sid says he hasn't played in a few years after pulling his hamstring, but is interested in joining a 50 years and over league. He most recently came back into the news after missing a show for AIW, citing issues with the Trump administration's travel ban.
