Simon Gotch Reclaimed The Copyright For His Name

Simon Gotch picked up a copyright WWE abandoned. 

Last April, Simon Gotch was released by WWE after a championship run in NXT and a short time on the main roster. At the time, he was in a tag team with Aiden English. In an interview with Wrestling with Wregret, Gotch was asked about the use of of the name "Simon Grimm" which he has been using in independent wrestling and if he is going back to "Simon Gotch."

"Technically I am already (Simon Gotch) because WWE abandoned the copyright last summer and I picked it up. I can technically use the name now," said Gotch. 

In the rest of the interview, Gotch spoke about his career in WWE, working singles matches in the independent wrestling, and the differences in his career post-WWE. 

Since leaving WWE, Gotch hasn't been wrestling as heavy of a schedule but has appeared in promotions in the United States and United Kingdom including Chikara and Ring of Honor.
