Snoop Dogg Says WWE Told Him They Would Be "Pushing Pause" On Him After AEW Appearance

Snoop Dogg asked for double pay to be a part of a new WWE video game.

Appearing on HOT 97 with Ebro, Laura Stylez and Peter Rosenberg, Snoop Dogg revealed WWE's reaction to his appearance on AEW Dynamite and how quickly they came back to him after "hitting pause" on him. He said the following:

Gunther: I'm Focused On Showing Cody Rhodes That He Is Secondary To Me

"Let me tell you this, though, Snoop Dogg ain't no wrestler. He's bigger than that and you got to understand that. This is the dynamics of what happened; I had a show on TBS called Go Big Show during COVID where we put together where people could really watch and be entertained on some circus kind of shit, like a bunch of freak shit that was going on. So Cody Rhodes is one of the judges on the show, he's actually one of the top dogs at the AEW wrestling network. So as a promotional vehicle to the show they had me go on there just so I could co-promote the show or whatnot, but then I get word from them [WWE] saying, 'Hey, you fucking with them? We're going to have to push pause on your ass for a minute. So I said, 'Cool.' They pushed pause for about two weeks and then said, 'Hey man, we got this video game and we need your' -- well you know what, since you all told me to push pause, that'll be double. I need that... They did that. I'll be on the new wrestling game."

Snoop Dogg appeared on night one of New Year's Smash for All Elite Wrestling on January 6. Fightful Select reported shortly after that there seemed to be no issues with WWE for the Hall of Famer to appear.

During WrestleMania 37, WWE announced the return of their 2K series. No official release date was given for the game. It should be noted, however, that Snoop Dogg did not specify which game he would be involved with.
