First, there was a Triple Threat Match to determine the new #1 Contender for the AAA Latin American Championship, currently being held by AEW Star QT Marshall after winning it at TripleMania 31 CDMX. In the Triple Threat, it would end up being Octagon Jr would take the win, defeating Bestia 666 & Drago II. This will be the first time he challenges for the Latin American Gold since 2021, when he lost in a Fatal Four Way against the then-champion Black Taurus (Faby Apache & Villano III Jr also competed in that match).

The big news of the show, however, came later in the night. In an impromptu match, Head of Talent Relations Konan announced (at the suggestion of Hijo del Vikingo) that there would be a match to crown a new AAA Cruiserweight Champion due to the match pitting Hijo del Vikingo & Komander for the AAA Mega Title being canceled due to an injury from Vikingo. In that bout, it would end up being Komander who would walk out as the new champion.

With this win, Komander is a double champion in AAA as he holds both the Cruiserweight Title & is one-half of the AAA Tag Team Champions (alongside Tag Partner Arez). Komander is the first person to hold the belt since Rey Fenix relinquished the title due to International Commitments. Fenix recently won the AEW International Championship at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, defeating Jon Moxley for the gold.
