IMPACT Wrestling held tapings tonight for future episodes of IMPACT TV at the 'Rebel Entertainment Complex' in Toronto. There will be another set of tapings taking place tomorrow night at the same venue and with tonight's tapings only being underway for two hours a title change has taken place. The IMPACT Knockouts Champion Su Yung defended the title in a Triple-Threat match against Allie and Tessa Blanchard.
Tessa Blanchard was interviewed by 'Icon Versus Icon' recently and in that interview she made it clear that her goal since signing a long-term deal with IMPACT was to become Knockouts Champion.
"My main goal at IMPACT is to be the Knockout Division Champion." She said. "I'm going to have my opportunity to claim that on Sunday against Allie and Su Yung. That is the goal because having that championship means that you're the best. I'm confident that I am the uncrowned champion because I am the best women's wrestler in IMPACT Wrestling… I want to do everything possible in wrestling. I want to go absolutely everywhere I can, wrestle everyone that I can and accomplish everything that I can. In my journey, I feel this is just one stop on the road."
Tessa followed up on those comments and claims as she pinned Allie in the Triple-Threat at tonight's TV tapings to become the new Knockouts Champion. Tessa is already the reigning EWA Florida Heavyweight, PCW Ultra Women's, PWX Women's, Phoenix Of RISE, The Crash Women's, WSU, WrestleCircus Lady Of The Ring and Zelo Pro Women's Champion and now the IMPACT Knockouts Championship has been added to Tessa's collection.
