*SPOILERS* New TNA Title Revealed At Latest Tapings

With the real-life shake up in TNA management, TNA is continuing to change several things within the company, including the unveiling of a new title: The TNA Impact Grand Championship.

TNA are currently doing television tapings, but it appears that the new title will debut on the August 18 episode of Impact Wrestling.

After Bobby Lashley won the TNA World Heavyweight, X Division and King of the Mountain Champion at the end of the August 11 episode of Impact Wrestling, it was revealed that TNA retired the King of the Mountain title and replaced it with the TNA Impact Grand Championship. This new title will have a brand new lineage, separate from the King of the Mountain title which, before Lashley won it, James Storm was the prior champion.

Details are still incoming, but according to Wrestlezone.com and fans that are present at the tapings, an 8-man single elimination tournament was announced featuring the new rules that will apply to this title. Each match will actually be three timed matches, similar to the UFC's way of fighting, with three timed rounds, and there will be a team of judges to award the win based on points, if it goes the distance.

The shakeup to TNA's title scene goes along with the announcement earlier in the week that Billy Corgan will take over day-to-day operations of the company from Dixie Carter. Corgan who previously was a producer for the company, had been performing in an authority figure role on-screen for TNA. Corgan purchased a minority share of the company recently, and has been working alongside TNA since last year.
