Steve Austin Gives Up Beer; Doesn't Find Weed To Be A Suitable Substitute

No more Steveweisers for "Stone Cold."

On a recent episode of the Steve Austin Show, Austin discussed how he's changed his diet now that he's 53-years-old.

“My eating program is going fantastic. Sticking to my exact macros. Zero alcohol for right at 14 days now,” revealed Austin. “Pounds are coming off. My strength is going up. Jesus Christ, I’m getting as strong as a goddamn horse over here. No alcohol, and when you hit the weights on a consistent basis and eat what you’re supposed to, it is amazing the difference that you can make or I’m making,”

Austin also commented that he's been using DDP Yoga; Diamond Dallas Page's yoga program that has helped the likes of AJ Styles, Mick Foley, Chris Jericho, and other top wrestling stars stay in-shape.

Upon giving up drinking, Austin discussed wanting to turn to marijuana as his new vice. Austin revealed that he almost never got around to smoking his joint as he was stopped at a checkpoint while driving from California to Texas.

“I’m thinking, ‘Man, here I am, retired from the wrestling business, a global icon and a national treasure, and I’m about to get busted for fucking one joint because I wanted to try out a goddam marijuana cigarette so I could get away from the booze,’” said Austin. Fortunately, Austin was waved through.

Unfortunately, the joint didn't live up to the hype. "I was out there taking my three hits off my little pile of shit joint. I got a little buzz. I figured...I knocked on the camper and Kristin sticks her head out and I go, 'Can you make me a fuckin' martini cause this joint aint worth a shit.'"

While Austin might be getting himself into shape by giving up beer and taking up DDP Yoga, don't expect him to return to the ring for one more match. He recently stated that he wants to be known as "ass-kicker" Steve Austin and not "old" Steve Austin.
