In just his second AEW match, Jeff Hardy gave fans a memorable moment when he performed a swanton bomb off a window ledge, crashing through The Butcher, The Blade, and a table.
Never one to shy away from a risk, the spot suited Hardy, but if he wasn't going to do it, Sting was willing to step up to the plate.
"That swanton from the window ledge, it was so sketchy up there because it was not even a foot wide. Sting, that day, said, 'If you don't want to do it, I'll do it. I'll dive onto a group of people,'" Jeff recalled on Talk Is Jericho.
Sting has taken plenty of risks throughout his career, but his upped his game in AEW, performing a number of balcony dives.
Matt Hardy added, "They were talking about it and Darby said, 'I found this cool ledge that somebody can jump off of, maybe onto a bunch of guys.' You can see Sting looking back and you can tell his wheels are turning. He looks at me and he goes, very aggressively, 'Matt, you don't want to jump off that, do you?' 'Well, if it fits, I will. It's not really my wheelhouse, but if it fits to where I jump off, I will.' He goes, 'I'm sorry, the reason I'm saying this is because I'll do it if you want me to.' Jeff had already been volunteered by Daby to do it with the swanton."
The Hardys, Sting, & Darby Allin were victorious in the bout over AFO (Isiah Kassidy, Marq Quen, The Blade & The Butcher).
The Hardys have been a roll in AEW, most recently picking up a victory over The Young Bucks at AEW Double or Nothing. According to Tony Khan, Jeff was injured coming out of the event, but Matt will be in action on AEW Dynamite.
