Stone Cold Steve Austin comments on John Cena's heel turn.
At Elimination Chamber 2025 last weekend, the unthinkable happened as John Cena turned heel, joining up with The Rock after Cody Rhoes refused to sell his soul to 'The Final Boss'. Along with Travis Scott, Cena would beat down Rhodes and leave him at the feet of The Rock.
While speaking to The Schmo in a new interview, Stone Cold Steve Austin was asked for his thoughts on Cena's heel turn, remarking that it had 'finally' happened.
"It had to happen sooner or later. Finally, it happened. It’ll be interesting to see whether the people accept him as a heel or has he turned himself more babyface? I think it remains to be seen, as the story unfolds. Nonetheless, they’ve kicked off an epic build into WrestleMania, and that’s what they do every single year. This year it’s in Las Vegas. It’s going to be pretty damn awesome."
Cena is now scheduled to challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 after winning the men's Elimination Chamber match.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Austin addressed if anyone had contacted him about a possible WrestleMania 41 appearance. You can read more about that here.
