Entering the AEW Revolution post-show press conference, Swerve asked for the media to speak up because he was dealing with a ruptured eardrum.

Swerve defeated Ricochet at AEW Revolution to become the number one contender for the AEW World Title.

At the end of the show, Swerve jumped off the balcony and delivered a double stomp to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and a team of security.

Moxley retained the AEW World Title, defeating Christian Cage, who inserted himself into the match via contract cash in, and Cope (Adam Copeland).
