Terry Funk is currently recovering at home after a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE Hall of Famer believes he contracted the virus while attending church. The report also notes that aside from being in isolation, Funk is doing fine.
"The Hardcore Legend" last wrestled in 2017 but also made an appearance on WWE Raw in March of 2016 where he gave Dean Ambrose a chainsaw ahead of his no-holds-barred street fight against Brock Lesnar.
In February 2021, Dustin Rhodes shared that he had just spoken with Terry Funk and that the 76-year old was in a lot of pain. Shortly afterwards - and for further context - Mike Johnson PWInsider posted a quick update saying that the pain is due to a hip issue and overall damage that was put on his body through the years.
Funk has been a fixture in the wrestling industry since the mid-1960s and has won major titles for countless promotions all across the world.
Fightful would like to wish Terry Funk all the best in his recovery.
