Tessa Blanchard won't be a part of the Rebellion event and she has gone on to apologize to IMPACT fans.
When IMPACT Rebellion was originally planned to be a pay-per-view event, she was going to defend the IMPACT World title against both Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards. However, given the current state of things, the event was repackaged as a two-part television event on AXS.
With that change came another one. Both Blanchard and Edwards were unable to make it to the event. Blanchard took to Twitter to apologize to everyone for not being able to make it to the show. Blanchard is still in Mexico while Edwards made the decision to stay at home with his family. Edwards also took time to apologize to fans on Twitter on April 21.
I’m sorry to all the fans of @IMPACTWRESTLING that I wasn’t there tonight. These times effect each one of us in very different yet very significant ways. I encourage everyone 2 stay home & that includes myself. Great job to everyone who competed tonight. #WeAreAllInThisTogether
