Thunder Rosa wants to give it all in MMA, which might mean some time away from wrestling.
After Rosa lost the NWA Women's Title on Tuesday's UWN Primetime Live, it was speculated that she could be WWE bound, though AEW reportedly had interested as well. NWA President Billy Corgan cleared up any speculation by stating that Rosa is under contract with the NWA through 2021.
In an interview with Two Man Power Trip, which was recorded before she lost the title, Rosa hinted that her future in MMA could lead to a break from wrestling.
"I talked to Combate [Americas] and we're seeing -- either before they start or when they start, I wanted to have one more fight so I can get my feet wet again and I'm more ready for bigger things. I'll probably have a local fight by February. That's what we're looking at. That means I might be taking a little bit of time from professional wrestling so I can focus on the fight camp," she said.
Rosa made her MMA debut in November 2019, losing a unanimous decision to Nadine Mandiau. She told Fightful that she still has three fights left on her contract.
Along with MMA and wrestling, Rosa is also running Mission Pro Wrestling.
