Tiffany Stratton: Gymnastics Has Definitely Given Me A Leg Up In Wrestling

Tiffany Stratton reflects on her history in gymnastics.

Stratton is one of several women's WWE superstars who comes from another sport, and amongst a group of recent NXT talent that was recruited for their ability in gymnastics. Stratton displays this ability in her moveset which includes a litany of handsprings and in her finisher, the Prettiest Moonsault Ever.

While speaking to WittyWhittier in a recent interview, Stratton noted tht her gymnastics background definitely provided a base for her wrestling abilities.

"Yeah. So gymnastics, honestly, it taught me everything that I know taught me hard work, dedication, coordination, flexibility, like all the physical stuff and all the, the mind stuff and the mental stuff as well. In wrestling, you have to be, you have to be coordinated. You have to be flexible. I feel like gymnastics really helped, gives you such a good base for any sport, let alone wrestling. I definitely feel like I had a leg up on everybody because of my gymnastics background. I don't know if you realize, but we have so many gymnasts now at the PC and that are on NXT TV and they're doing so well right now. So I think gymnastics has definitely given me a leg up and has shown that, you know, with the gymnastics background and, you can definitely become a successful professional wrestler."

Stratton is currently a member of the Friday Night SmackDown roster and recently came up short in the Queen Of The Ring tournament.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Stratton commented on why fans have connected with her on the main roster. You can read more about that here.
