Time Splitters Reunited, Will Compete In Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

The Time Splitters are back for this year's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

When the field of teams for this year's tournament was announced a while ago, the only duo that wasn't finalized was KUSHIDA's team as his partner wasn't announced. During the January 8 episode of NXT, his partner was revealed and it turned out to be none other than Alex Shelley.

The duo wrestled in New Japan Pro Wrestling for years as the Time Splitters, winning a number of championships together. In their time in Japan, they became the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions twice and won the Super Jr. Tag Tournament back in 2012. In that span, KUSHIDA also won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title three times and the 2012 Best of the Super Juniors.

The Time Splitters will take on Grizzled Young Veterans in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with the winner facing Undisputed Era in the semifinals.
