Timothy Thatcher Makes NXT Debut, Teams With Matt Riddle To Defeat Undisputed Era

With Pete Dunne not being able to travel to the United States, he made sure to give Matt Riddle a top tag team partner: Timothy Thatcher.

Thatcher was Riddle's partner for their NXT Tag Team Title defense against the Undisputed Era's Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong. Despite the surprise change, Riddle and Thatcher emerged victorious.

Dunne is currently unable to leave the United Kingdom due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, creating a potential issue with the tag titles as he one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions alongside Riddle. Earlier in the day, NXT General Manager William Regal stated that Riddle would still defend the titles against the Undisputed Era with a mystery partner, which turned out to be Thatcher.

Thatcher is a longtime veteran on the Independent scene, having worked for EVOLVE, MLW, PROGRESS, wXw and more. He is a former wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion, wXw World Tag Team Champion alongside current NXT UK Champion WALTER, and EVOLVE Champion. WWE confirmed he signed with the company earlier this year.
