"Tiny" Lister, WWF's Zeus, Friday's Deebo, Passes Away At 62

Sad news in Hollywood and wrestling, as Tommy "Tiny" Lister has passed away at the age of 62.

Lister is perhaps best known for his legendary role in the "Friday" series as "Deebo," a neighborhood bully. However, he also made his impression felt in the wrestling world as Zeus during one of the business' hottest periods.

TMZ reported that law enforcement informed them that Lister was pronounced dead on the scene after they were called to his Marina Del Rey apartment just before 3 PM local time Thursday. No cause of death was reported.

Lister starred opposite Hulk Hogan in the WWF's "No Holds Barred" movie, which would spawn three matches in the company between August and December 1989. He would wrestle Abdullah the Butcher in his first non-WWF wrestling match in 1990, before stepping away from wrestling.

In 1996, Lister would return for revenge on Hulk Hogan in WCW as "Z-Gangsta." As a part of The Alliance To End Hulkamania, Lister participated in the heavily criticized Doomsday Cage match at Uncensored 1996.

Lister made a huge mark in the movie industry. He appeared in The Dark Knight, Austin Powers: Goldmember, The Fifth Element, Jackie Brown and dozens of other films. He also was featured in music videos for Sublime, Michael Jackson, Akon, Busta Rhymes, Iggy Azalea, and 50 Cent, among others.

We extend our condolences to the friends, family, and fans of Tom Lister.
