Titán Advances To Copa Independencia Finals, Will Face Máscara Dorada At CMLL's 91st Anniversary Show

Copa Independencia Finals set for CMLL's 91st Anniversary.

CMLL hosted two Qualifier Phases for the CMLL Copa Independencia on the 8/30 and 9/6 editions of CMLL Viernes Espectacular, with the winners of both phases facing each other in the finals set to take place on CMLL's 91st Anniversary show on 9/13. Phase One was won by Máscara Dorada, and now we have a winner for Phase Two.

Phase Two of the Copa Independencia had Titán, Averno, Zandokan Jr., Hijo de Villano III, Crixus, Dark Panther, Star Jr. & Dulce Gardenia going at it in the qualifier. After an intense match between all participants, Titán ended up standing tall after nailing Averno with a Tornado DDT, a Facebuster, a Thrust Kick, a Springboard Double Stomp, and a Coup de Grace off the top rope to pick up the pinfall win.

The Anniversary show will also feature Willow Nightingale defending her CMLL Women's World Title against Zeuxis, Chris Jericho facing Mistico, and Hechicero participating in a Mask Quadrangular against El Valiente, Euforia and Esfinge. The updated card is listed below.
