TJP has made his return to Impact, but he hasn't put pen to paper as of yet.
The winner of WWE's Cruiserweight Classic, and the first holder of the modern Cruiserweight Classic, TJP was released by WWE earlier this year. It didn't take him long to find work, appearing for AAW, DEFY, PCW, and most notably, Impact Wrestling. Despite appearing at the June tapings, TJP made it clear to Wrestling Epicenter that he's not signed with the company, despite what his Wikipedia claims.
"No, that is not the case. There is a connection on this flight but the plane hasn't landed yet is the best way to put it. I think there are more stops in the future but there is no contracts right now. It is a place I'd like to keep on the horizon. On the other side as well, I know that they're interested in having me back. But, my schedule is so packed! That is the thing, I'm enjoying my freedom. So, wherever I do land, it has to come with a certain amount of flexibility for me. I don't know that I really want to give this freedom up maybe ever again. I don't know," said TJP.
The former Manik will make his on-screen return in an upcoming episode of Impact Wrestling, where he'll compete in a series of matches with standout Ace Austin. They are Perkins' first appearances for the company since back in 2015. He would go on in the interview to compliment the company's current atmoshere and roster.
