Inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Champion, TJP says that during his time in WWE he wrote storylines featuring himself and numerous talents in an effort to get utilized on television, but ultimately, none of them was a good fit in the eyes of Vince McMahon.
Speaking with Josh Tariff, TJP opened up about trying to be creative so that he was not wasting away on the WWE roster.
TJP had a great start with WWE, winning the Cruiserweight Classic Tournament and ushering in the new era of Cruiserweight wrestling in WWE. However, once he lost the championship to Brian Kendrick, things began to wind down for TJP in terms of being a featured player. TJP tried his best, but he found himself having to move on just a couple of years after getting started in WWE.
The following quotes were passed along by Josh Tariff
“I wrote for everybody man,” he began. “I wrote stories for me and Elias, me and Jinder, me and Finn, me and Bobby Lashley, me and Lio me and whoever. Every person on every roster I wrote a story for what I thought I could do with them. And just none of them were a good fit in his (Vince) eyes so he didn't really know what to do and after a while, it just got to being where he didn't want me to stay being unhappy.”
