Tony Khan comments Jade Cargill signing with WWE.
On Tuesday, September 26, WWE officially announced that Jade Cargill had signed a multi-year deal with the company. Fightful Select reported after the September 13 episode of AEW Dynamite that Cargill was finishing up with AEW and was believed to be headed to WWE. She wrestled her last match in AEW on the September 15 episode of AEW Rampage.
Speaking on the AEW WrestleDream media call, Tony Khan was asked about Jade's departure.
"I have only positive things to say about Jade. It's been great having her in AEW. She is always welcome here. She's had a great run with us and has a great career, I'm sure, in front of her. Wishing her the best in the future," he said.
Cargill made her in-ring debut in March 2021 during the pandemic, teaming with Shaquille O'Neal against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet. Cargill was the first AEW TBS champion and held the title for 508 days.
It is unknown when Cargill will debut in WWE or if she will be part of the main roster or NXT. She started at the Performance Center on Tuesday. Fightful will update fans when more is known.
