AEW Dynamite will celebrate its five-year anniversary on October 2nd with a show that features Will Ospreay defending the AEW International Championship against Ricochet.
While many fans are excited for the bout given the history between the two men, others have questioned the decision to put the match on free television with a shorter build up.
Speaking to Dave LeGreca of Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan was asked about his decision to put big matches like Ospreay vs. Ricochet on television.
"That's why I think it makes perfect sense with these big stages. We have the greatest roster ever. There is an unlimited supply of huge matches. These are matches that have been building since the people arrived at AEW," said Khan, who went on to discuss Ricochet's debut at AEW All In.
The bout between Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson, which may or may not take place at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, was also referenced as a big match that may happen on free TV.
Elsewhere during the interview, Tony gave the latest update on AEW media rights deal. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
