Tony Khan isn't likely to step into the ring.
Tony Khan was attacked by The Elite (The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada) on the April 24th episode of AEW Dyamite, putting him in a neckbrace and rendering him unable to travel. Authority figures stepping into the ring hasn't been uncommon over the decades in wrestling, but Tony Khan is unlikely to follow suit.
"AEW is where the best wrestle. We mean that. That's why I want to make sure the fans get the best matches and the best action. In this case, I'm not the best person to pay those people back," Khan said to Rick Ucchino and Tony Pike on Cincy 360 when asked if he could step in the ring to get revenge. "There are a lot of things I'm good at behind the scenes, but somebody else is going to have to go avenge what those guys did to not only me, but to Kenny Omega. I'm quite sure there are more capable wrestlers than I am who can inflict some of that punishment on the Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Okada. I want to have great matches in AEW. After what happened to me last time, I don't think I would be making a smart move."
As EVPs, the Young Bucks run last Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite, which ended with The Elite taking out Kenny Omega.
Omega is set to make an important announcement on the May 8th episode of AEW Dynamite.
