Tony Khan comments on obtaining the rights to Frank Sinatra for Chris Jericho's ROH Final Battle entrance.
At Ring Of Honor Final Battle, Chris Jericho defended the ROH World Title vs Matt Cardona in singles competition, with Jericho retaining his title successfully. Before and after the bout, Jericho would be played out by Frank Sinatra.
At the Ring Of Honor Final Battle post show press conference, Tony Khan was asked by JO of WrestleBars about obtaining the rights for Sinatra's music.
"For the King of New York, I thought it would be appropriate. Chris Jericho is the King of New York, so what better way for him to come to the ring for his championship match than ‘New York, New York.’ I thought it would be something special and it came out great. It was a great part of the presentation. Since we all woke up in a city that never sleeps, we all wanted to play that song. It was a great moment and something special for Final Battle."
Following the bout, Bandido would make his return to action from injury, saving Matt Cardona from The Learning Tree. You can read more about that here.
