On Wednesday, AEW announced that Madison Rayne had joined AEW as a coach for the female talent.
Rayne is a former five-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion who has remained active in the ring, last wrestling at the July 16 IMPACT Wrestling tapings.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan discussed adding Rayne to the team and whether she would also be an active wrestler for the company.
"I'm really excited. She's going to be great for the team. She's excited. Everyone is excited to have Madison Rayne as part of AEW. I'm not saying she wouldn't wrestle anymore, we're open to it. We have other people in the office who do wrestle as part of their schedule, so I'm open to it. I haven't talked a lot about it because right now, I'm primarily focused on the whole company, but it's definitely something I'm open to and would like," he said.
Rayne is set to begin working with AEW on Wednesday as Dynamite heads to her hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
