Tony Khan Says AEW Will Run Live Events, Talent Wants To Do Them

AEW live events are coming.

Since its inception in 2019, AEW has largely only run television tapings with the exception being a special live event "The House Always Wins" on April 9, 2021. In November 2022, AEW hired Jeff Jarrett to be the Director of Business Development, leading many to believe AEW would begin running more live events in 2023.

Speaking on In The Zone, Tony Khan discussed the possibility of AEW diving into the live event business.

"That's something we are talking about. We have a great live events team. It's something we've talked a lot about and building out the live event business. There is definitely a lot of demand for AEW live events, and now we have this great big strong roster that wants to do these live events, so it's something we're going to do," he said.

It is unknown when AEW will begin running live events or what the schedule would be.

Elsewhere during the interview, Khan commented on Vince McMahon's return to WWE. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
