Tony Schiavone On AEW All In: There’s A Lot Of Pressure On Us, We Want Fans To Want To See Us Again

Tony Schiavone comments on the upcoming AEW All In pay-per-view.

The event, which will take place on Sunday, August 27, is widely being regarded as the biggest show in AEW history. This is a rightful title for the event, as over 80,000 fans are expected to be in attendance at Wembley Stadium for the show.

As the show continues to inch closer and closer, some fans have began to criticize the lack of build that is going into the event. Some fans have also pointed out that the show should feature more story-driven matches.

On the latest episode of What Happened When, Tony Schiavone went into detail about the upcoming pay-per-view and noted that there is a lot of pressure on the company to deliver a good show.

"I’ve seen big crowds before, but nothing on this scope. I think it has a lot to say about Great Britain and England really wanting to see AEW. Our product obviously being over there on ITV, that’s very big exposure, and that has a lot to do with it. I just hope that, every time you do something like this, even when we do these pay-per-views, even the first Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium, my first thought is, ‘I hope we deliver to the fans to make them want to see us again.’ That’s my hope and concern. I think there’s a lot of pressure on the company, to be honest with you, to deliver. Not because of anything, but because of nothing but 80,000 fans. You’ve really got to step up and deliver. I think we will. I think we’ve got some great matches, and some great matches that have yet to be announced."

Schiavone went on to preview some of the matches that are set to be featured on the show, before circling back to the point that he wants for all 80,000 fans to go home happy.

"FTR and Young Bucks against each other, to me, it could steal the show. All the stars will be there. Sting is gonna be a part of it. Saraya’s gonna be there. Of course, MJF and Adam Cole. A four-way for the women’s title. So the stars are gonna be there, and you just want to make sure that those 80,000 fans go home happy. Which is really a concern for every show we do. You want everybody to go home happy. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes they’re split, you never know. I know there’s gonna be thumbs up and thumbs down to the show after it’s all over with it."

Schiavone recently talked about getting to call the Parking Lot Fight on a recent episode of Rampage. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
