Roman Reigns is the Tribal Chief.
The January 6 edition of WWE Raw kicked off with promos from Triple H and The Rock, but after that, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa clashed in a Tribal Combat match to determine the one true Tribal Chief.
Early on, Reigns and Sikoa brawled around the ringside area, with Sikoa gaining an upper hand before throwing Reigns back in the ring. Reigns fought back and nailed Sikoa with two clotheslines before trapping him in the corner with ten consecutive clotheslines.
Reigns went to the outside to capitalize, but Sikoa planted him into the announce table with a spinning uranage. Sikoa then smashed Reigns with a monitor and celebrated on the announce table. Sikoa piled on by nailing Reigns with the steel steps before a commercial break.
As the show returned from break, Sikoa remained in control. Things got dangerous when Sikoa trapped the head of Reigns in a chair while he was seated near the turmbuckle, but at the last moment, Reigns moved out of the way. Reigns used the chair to his advantage, swinging away on Sikoa. Sikoa then escaped a dangerous move of his own, moving out of the way on a Con-Chair-To. This allowed him to nail Reigns with a lowblow and another spinning uranage for a near fall.
Sikoa then introduced a table to the match, much to the approval of the Los Angeles crowd. Reigns took a moment to recover before meeting Sikoa at ringside with a huge drive-by dropkick before setting up the table for himself inside of the ring.
Sikoa bounced back again by nailing Reigns with a number of kendo stick shots. After choking with Reigns with a kendo stick in the corner, Sikoa had the odds flipped on him once again, as Reigns over-powered him and powerbombed him into the table. The pinfall attempt was broken up by Tama Tonga, which prompted the arrival of Jacob Fatu.
Fatu took out Reigns and allowed Sikoa to nail him with a Samoan Spike. After Reigns kicked out of the pinfall attempt, Sikoa took out his frustrations by taking out referee Chad Patton with a seperate Samoan Spike.
Then, Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso hit the ring to even the odds. After taking out the competition, Zayn helped Reigns hit a spear on Sikoa. A new referee didn't quite reach the ring in time, as Sikoa kicked out of the spear. Reigns looked to hit another spear on Sikoa, but Kevin Owens appeared and nailed him with a stunner.

Rhodes hit the ring and began to brawl with Owens. 'The American Nightmare' was able to fight off Owens into the crowd after hitting him with a Cody Cutter. Reigns finished off the bout by nailing Sikoa with two consecutive spears.
After the match, The Rock returned to the ring and embraced Reigns.
