Trick Williams speaks on Shawn Michaels' influence on the NXT product.
Over the course of the past two years, NXT has seen a rebirth under the direction of Shawn Michaels as the brand as once again found it's identity. Now, the brand prepares to move to The CW in October, with Randy Orton and CM Punk tipped for the first two shows on the road.
While speaking to WGN News in an interview hyping the jump to the CW, Trick Williams was asked how NXT differs from RAW and SmackDown.
"Man, I think the product that we have here at NXT is a direct reflection of Shawn Michaels' leadership. You know what I mean? He teaches us, he trains us to move, to keep everything exciting. And that's what we do, man. We bring that action. We got something to prove. You can compare us to FBS, SEC-like football compared to the pro. Yeah, the pros, they make the big bucks. They're doing big things. But those guys in college, man, they hungry. They can't wait to get to the next level. That's us here at NXT, we hungry. We wanna prove ourselves every single time we in that ring."
On this past week's edition of WWE NXT, Trick was in action against Pete Dunne, and came up short against The Bruiserweight. You can read more about that here.
